Lee Hsien Loong v Singapore Democratic Party and Ors
26 November 2008
Three Singaporean men were convicted of contempt of court by appearing before the Singaporean court in t-shirts "bearing a picture of a kangaroo in judge's robe" according to a Reuter UK news report.
The incident arose during the hearing before Justice Belinda Ang for the assessment of damages in a defamation case brought by the "Minister Mentor" Lee Kuan Yew and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, according to what appears to be a Singapore Attorney-General's Chambers' "Media Background Brief" .
